Our Knives

I couldn’t find the knife of my dreams, so I built it myself.

VC Edge is making knives with composite materials constructed in creative ways resulting in a practical, well-balanced, ultralight weight, and beautiful cutting tool.

Normal knives are made with an all steel blade, and that makes sense, it needs to cut and stay sharp. The problem is that steel is very heavy and most other materials are not suitable for a cutting tool. My knives use a combination of a carbon fiber blade body with a bonded steel insert at the cutting edge. This combination eliminates the use of steel for the entire blade, one of the heaviest parts of a typical “lightweight” knife. It’s really something of an experience.
